Manning's thumb OK

According to the Associated Press, "Peyton Manning's injured right thumb gave the Colts a scare Monday. Fortunately, for Indianapolis, that's all it was... Manning bruised the thumb on his throwing hand late in the AFC championship game, but X-rays found no broken bones and he's expected to start against Chicago in the Super Bowl."

So you Indy fans can now officially exhale -- your QB is fine!

Cool Re: Manning's thumb OK

It's also good for him that there is 2 weeks before the game. It would be more of an issue if there was only 1 week.

Re: Manning's thumb OK

When CBS showed Manning on the sidelines telling Jim Sorgi to "be ready", I'm sure all Colt fans nearly passed out.

As Pundit said, he's got just under two weeks to heal it. He'll be fine.

I know I just about threw up when he said that. I wouldn't want Sorgi in there when the game is on the line.

Did Sorgi even bring a helmet to the game?...Anyone think Sorgi is a Tony Romo in waiting? Just asking?

Re: Manning's thumb OK

Questions about Manning's thumb again after the Colts QB held his press conference yesterday. Not only did he not discuss the thumb, but he actually kept it in his pocket the entire time he spoke to the media. Dungy and everyone else says he's fine, so I'm guessing he's fine, but you have to wonder... why the Belichickian secrecy?

Possibly to simply lead the opposition into thinking there is something wrong with his thumb. Then he can come out and throw all that media hype right down the drain.

Re: Manning's thumb OK

Ya never know... he's a cagey one. Could just be trying to throw a little doubt into the Bears and their gameplanning. Heck, maybe they should have Sorgi come out and run the first play, just to really confuse them!
