Colts vs. Patriots - AFC Championship Game

In order for Peyton Manning and the Colts to win the Super Bowl, they have to go through their old nemesis, the New England Patriots. But Indy is at home, where they are 8-0 on the season, and according to Cris Carter of Yahoo! Sports, they have the edge offensively, defensively, and in special teams. So is this the year Peyton and company finally make it to the big dance?

Cool Re: Colts vs. Patriots - AFC Championship Game

I am rooting like hell for the Colts. I like Dungy and I'm so sick of Bill Belechick.

The Colts defense has been stellar in the playoffs so far! I'm going with the Colts on this one!

I can picture Vinatieri kicking the game winner over his old team. I pick the colts by a feild goal.

Brady is going to lead the Patriots to another Super bowl.

Re: Colts vs. Patriots - AFC Championship Game

Dungy and Manning deserve their moment in the sun, and thanks to an improved defense, I think they finally get it. And yet, I like many others think it would be poetic justice for Vinatieri to kick a game winning field goal to give Indy the win.

Re: Colts vs. Patriots - AFC Championship Game

let's keep in mind.........10 of the Colts 13 wins this year (including playoffs) were by a touchdown or less...........not extremely impressive

So? They still won the games.

The way their defense has played in the playoffs, it's inspiring for the entire team. Peyton Manning hasn't even played well and they've won.

It speaks for something that the Colts don't have to get a big game from Peyton and they can still win.

Re: Colts vs. Patriots - AFC Championship Game

So I guess the question should be which team messed up worse...the Ravens or Chargers.

Brady coming from Michigan is a big reason why I like the Patriots. But another reason is I am a Lions fan and my second favorite team has to be a winner(unlike the Lions).

As do I. It just seems like the Patriots defense always has an ambush waiting for Mighty Manning and it works every time.

When did the amount of scores matter in a win or loss? Indy beat the Pats by 7. Is that less of a win? Last time I checked the Colts got the W while the Pats earned a L. These are the two best teams in the AFC. The Colts still had to win 15 games to get hear.
