Post Colts, Patriots rivalry

The Indianpolis Colts play the New England Patriots Sunday night in the latest chapter of one of the NFL's best rivalries.

Quote:
Patriots and Colts set to battle on Sunday night
SERIES HISTORY
The Patriots and Colts will meet for the 69th time as the former AFC East rivals square off for the sixth time since November 2003. The teams have produced a strong recent rivalry, having faced each other in the playoffs in two of the last three years. But a rivalry between the teams is nothing new. The Patriots and the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts played twice each year from 1970 to 2001 as members of the AFC East, with the exception of the 1982 strike season. New England has had more success against the Colts than any other team in the NFL, with the Patriots' .632 winning percentage ranking as their highest against any team they have played more than 10 times. New England is 17-5 against Indianapolis since 1993, and has won 14 of the series' last 17 games, including six of the last seven dating back to the 2000 season. The games have tended to be high-scoring affairs, as the Patriots have scored 20 or more points against the Colts in 16 of their last 17 meetings and have scored 38 or more points in three of the last seven clashes.
So where do you think this rivalry ranks among the NFL's best?

I'm sick of the Colts having to go to New England EVERY YEAR! But, we proved last year that we can beat them! GO COLTS!

Just curious, when's the last time the Pats went to Indy for a regular season game?

Post Colts, Patriots rivalry (Arizona Republic)

Here's another look at the rivarly between the Colts and the Patriots.

Colts-Pats rivalry is modern rarity

These days, it's hard to find a professional sports rivalry that contains just the right amounts of hatred, acrimony and malice. That's what makes tonight's game between the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots so special. It's a fight on the field, and off, with more whispered subplots than a family reunion.

As if the football rivalry weren't enough. The Patriots have been the Colts' nemesis since they beat Indianapolis in the AFC championship game in the 2003-04 season and then again in the division playoffs in 2004-05.

Until the Colts beat the Patriots in the regular season last year, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning had a six-game losing streak against New England. But as New England fans will point out, that game was against a Patriots team that was missing defensive end Richard Seymour and safety Rodney Harrison, and had linebacker Tedy Bruschi still rounding into shape after a stroke.

"We've got some things under control now,"' linebacker Mike Vrabel told reporters this week. "We're just playing much better team defense."

This rivalry is about much more than personnel or X's and O's, however. It's personal.
So I've got to ask: is the Colts-Patriots series the best rivalry in the NFL right now?

Stop whining. Thats cause we always had more wins then you. Oh and to whoever said that you proved you could beat us now. How'd that work out for the chargers in the regular season last year, they proved they could beat us too. Note to self: The postseason is a different animal, and you havnt proved anything there.
