Thanks to their high-powered offense, the Indianapolis Colts are one of two undefeated teams left in the NFL.

To get to 6-0 for the second year in a row, however, the Colts may need to fix their rush defense, which figures to get a workout when the Washington Redskins visit the RCA Dome on Sunday.

Only eight teams in NFL history have started 6-0 in consecutive seasons, something the Colts can accomplish Sunday. They've managed to stay undefeated -- along with Chicago -- thanks to their fourth-ranked offense, which is averaging 357 yards per game.

With the league's worst run defense that's allowing 166.8 yards per game, however, Indianapolis has been lucky to escape its first five games without a loss.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Peyton Manning got up, cleaned his dirty face and responded like a prizefighter.

After being bent over awkwardly twice in the first half, losing his helmet and once appearing hurt, the two-time MVP knocked out the Washington Redskins with three third-quarter touchdown passes Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts rolled to a 36-22 victory.

"I've seen him take some tough shots, and he's a little tougher than people think," coach Tony Dungy said.

Aside from the early battering, a face full of rubber chips from the turf and the neck rub he needed to return, Perfect Peyton nearly lived up to his nickname. He finished with a passer rating of 140.4 and helped the Colts keep their title as the AFC's only unbeaten team.

Indy, which matched the Chicago Bears at 6-0, became the ninth team in league history to start two consecutive seasons with six straight wins.

So Peyton and the Colts keep marching on, quietly being the "other" unbeaten team. How good are they?

Hey the guy threw for 340 yards and 4 TDs...of course they are going to come after his head...what other chance did they have?...and man, am I ever glad you got stuck with Leinert in our league (to my Manning)...I got some QBs on the bench if you want to trade.
