Jermaine O’Neal will not opt out of the remaining two years on his deal, according to media reports.
As Pa. Sportsticker reports, "A 12-year veteran, O’Neal had until June 30 to choose between staying with the Pacers or opting out of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent... But despite his repeated requests to be traded, O’Neal evidently did not want to leave the Pacers, who owe the six-time All-Star over $44 million through the 2009-10 season." Good move for O'Neal?
