| Pacers fire coach Rick Carlisle The Indiana Pacers have fired head Rick Carlisle after finishing the season 35-47, which just happened to be the team's worst record since 1988-89. This was also the first time in a decade that Indana failed to make the playoffs. Team President Larry Bird also said that the team was most likely not finished, telling reporters, "if there's something out there that can be a major trade, we'll probably do it if it benefits us... we will trade any one of these players."
