| Hoosiers vs. Gonzaga SALT LAKE CITY - Despite a 20-point second half from sophomore guard/forward Robert Vaden and four Hoosiers in double figures, the Indiana men's basketball team fell to the No. 3 seed Gonzaga, 90-80, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on March 18 in Salt Lake City. The Hoosiers knocked down an IU NCAA Tournament record with 16 three-point field goals, but it was not enough to overcome the Bulldogs. IU capped the season with an overall ledger of 19-12. | Hoosiers March On To Second Round Roderick Wilmont scored 22 points and hit six of his team's nine 3-pointers, and the Hoosiers avenged a loss to Gonzaga last March with a 70-57 victory Thursday night in a West Regional matchup pitted as one of the top first-round games in the tournament. "I love the way we won the game," Sampson said. "We're not an offensive juggernaut. We had to play tough defense, make the extra pass and execute."
