BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Junior forward D.J. White has been selected as one of the top 30 players for the 2007 Men's Naismith Trophy, presented by AT&T. White is one of just three Big Ten players listed in the top 30.
Ballots will be sent out to the Naismith voting academy this week asking members to narrow the list to four individuals. Those finalists will be announced in mid-March. The winner will be honored during Final Four weekend in Atlanta. White is looking to become the third Hoosier to win the award, joining Scott May (1976) and Calbert Cheaney (1993). Iowa's Adam Haluska and Wisconsin's Alonzo Tucker are also listed in the top 30 this year.
