EVANSTON, Ill. - Roderick Wilmont set career highs with 31 points and 12 rebounds to carry the Indiana basketball team to a 69-65 victory over Northwestern on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Wilmont set a new school record by hitting nine 3-pointers in the contest as the Hoosiers improved to 19-9 on the season and 9-6 in the Big Ten.
Wilmont scored 17 of his 31 points in the second half as the Hoosiers topped the Wildcats despite being outshot in the game, 49 percent to 44. Armon Bassett added 10 points and matched a career-high with nine assists in the victory, while D.J. White posted 14 points and five rebounds.
