After leading the Indiana men's basketball teams to back-to-back wins, junior forward D.J. White was named the Big Ten Player of the Week, the league announced on Jan. 22. The honor is the first of the Tuscaloosa, Ala., native's career.

White claims Player of the Week accolades after averaging a team-high 22 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game while leading the Hoosiers to victories over Iowa and Connecticut last week.
He opened the week notching his second straight double-double and tied career highs with 23 points and 12 rebounds against the Hawkeyes. He shot 10-of-13 from the field (.769) and was 3-of-5 from the free throw line (.600).

Junior forward D.J. White picked up another honor for his outstanding performance last week, as he was recognized by ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale as Player of the Week on Dickie V's Weekly Awards list.
