Bloomington, Indiana - Coach
Tom Crean and the Indiana University men's basketball program will officially "tip off" the season with a pep rally on Thursday, October 29 in the new Henke Hall of Champions. Hosted by the Indiana University Varsity Club, the tip-off event will feature remarks from current players and Coach Crean.
"Our coaching staff and players are looking forward to this event," said Crean. "We enjoy interacting with the many fans and friends who will attend and it is a great opportunity for our players to learn first-hand about what being a part of the Indiana program means from the many former players who also are in attendance."
The pep rally will begin at 6:00 p.m. in Memorial Stadium's Henke Hall of Champions, located in the new North End Zone Student-Athlete Development Center. Sportscaster Don Fischer, the "voice of IU Basketball," will emcee the program. The program will also feature a virtual tour of the new Basketball Development Center and a highlight video of the Hoosiers' practice sessions.
The Tip Off Pep Rally is free and open to the public. However, space is limited. To RSVP, contact Garrett Munro in the IU Varsity Club Office at
