| Mario Williams Nominated for Defensive Player of the Year Houston Texans and former NC State defensive end Mario Willaims is one of five finalists for the 2007 GMC Defensive Player of the Year Award. The voting for the award is done strictly by the fans at the NFL.com. Voting for the award has already begun and will end on January 23. The winner will be presented the 2007 GMC Defensive Player of the Year award during a press conference in Arizona, the site of Super Bowl XLII.
