The headlines I've seen about yesterday's Texans vs. Bears game have rather anti-Matt Schaub in nature.

Now, I'll admit I didn't see the game, but Schaub was went 3-for-5 for 25 yards, and the AP even admits that the second pass he threw was dropped. So why such negativity? Houston Pro Bowl wideout Andre Johnson put it best: "I think a lot of the decisions he made tonight were some pretty smart decisions... I'll tell you one thing, he'll stay in that pocket and throw that ball. That's something you have to love about the quarterback."

If he can do it without being sacked he will have done better than carr, Its just the first pre-season game, I wouldnt fill out my playoff bracketts just yet, the kids got some time to fix and mesh better for thenext one..I think he'll be ok..

Given that he hung in there, and he only really misfired on one pass, I'd say he's off to a good start for the Texans.

he may be the next Roger Staubach, but right now I think they are hanging too much onto a QB that only spot started 2? games. He is going to need time to develop into the starter they want him to be.

The problem with Carr was that he got dumped hundreds of times behind that line of his. If Schaub takes half of that beating he would not be standing tall in the pocket. But hey, it was a few series, in the first game andthe Bears...what the heck do the critics want?...

I saw the game and Shaub was awful he kinda looked like Rex on New Year's Eve

Schaub looked good in yesterday's game. He actually had enough time to roll out and run for a TD. He looked pretty good.

Preseason = Meaningless unless you're trying to make the team. I doubt Schuab will have any problems doing that.
