| Brooks shines again in Rockets Summer League finale LAS VEGAS -- Before arriving in Las Vegas, Rockets point guard Aaron Brooks wasn't regarded as one of the top rookies slated to participate in the NBA summer league. He'll leave town having put on a more impressive show than any other rookie in Sin City. The former Oregon star capped off a brilliant week in Las Vegas Sunday night by guiding the Rockets to a 98-93 victory over the New Orleans Hornets and earning top rookie honors at the NBA summer league. Brooks scored a team-high 18 points in the Rockets' summer league finale and added four assists. With those numbers, Brooks finished his five games in dessert averaging 21.4 points and 5.2 assists. "I feel really good about the week that I had," Brooks said. "I'm confident about what I can do, but I know that I still have a lot of improvement to make. I need to trim down my turnovers and continue getting better." Rockets past Hornets in summer league finale Last edited by Lefty Noob : 07-16-2007 at 07:08 AM. |
