| McGrady to get more playing time Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy is convinced that Tracy McGrady is going to have to log more minutes for his team to be more efficient against the league's best teams. He isn't getting any argument from his star player. McGrady said Wednesday that he'd welcome increased minutes over the remainder of the regular season and playoffs. "I always expect to play 40-plus minutes come playoff time," McGrady said. "You've got to keep your best players on the floor as long as possible." | Re: McGrady to get more playing time The article says he's averaging just under 36 minutes per game this season, but has logged about 40 per game during the playoffs. I've gotta tell you, that whole "keep your best players on the floor as long as possible" theory sounds like a pretty good one to me. I bet it works.
