The Rockets are in a great position for the playoffs. Now is not too early to start thinking about playoff positioning. If the Rockets stay in 5th place, and face the San Antonio Spurs in the first round, expect a 7 game, knock down, drag out, great series. If the Rockets can move up to 4th and get home court advantage over the Spurs, expect a Rockets 1st round win. If the Rockets drop to 6th and play the Utah Jazz in the first round. Expect another great first round, which should remind Rockets fans of Rockets/Jazz playoff games of the past. If the Rockets drop to 7th or 8th. Watch out. Phoenix and Dallas still have a decided edge over the Rockets. The Suns play way too fast for the Rockets. The Mavs are simply the best team in the NBA right now.
