| Re: Clemens signs with Houston I agree, Legend, that Roger Clemens runs his own show. I have heard many times that Roger Clemens is a spoiled star. I admit that he is possibly one of the pitchers to ever stand on the mound, but I think he over-uses his priviledges. You will know what I mean, if you ever saw the famous Arli$$ episode where Roger Clemens complains to his agent, Arliss Michaels, that he wants a private jet like Kevin Brown. Since Arliss refuses to get him a jet (but offers him a pony and a priest and I believe a contract extension in New York) he fires Arliss and leaves him in the dust. That is not really nice considering he wanted the jet immediately and didn't give Arliss enough time to arrange such a demand. Do you have any comments about this episode or if Roger Clemens is spoiled? |

| Re: Clemens signs with Houston Of course the Astros are just trying to put people into the seats, trotting this 6 inning pitcher out there whenever he feels up to it. Maybe I just feel bad for guys like Bagwell and Biggio, who represented that franchise in a model way for all these years, just to see a carpetbagger like Clemens come into town and take over. At least with his kid hitting .200, I won't have to worry about him anytime soon.

Legend, why can't you see that its not a one sided deal...you call Clemens a carpet bagger...but I have yet to hear you address the Astros ownership over the deal they gave him....not even in passing are you saying they are to blame... like I said...Roger did not hold them hostage...and what does Cody have to do with Roger? Can't judge the kid by the old man... |

| Re: Clemens signs with Houston The Astros have gone through many changes over the past six years. They have altered the direction of their franchise away from how it used to be. I remember in the 2000s when they had the dominant athletes, Jeff Bagwell, Craig Biggio, Moises Alou and Richard Hidalgo. By 2004, they already started to rely on Lance Berkman, Jeff Kent and Morgan Ensberg to lead the team. Nearly two years later, the team hasn't made any dramatic changes. But two years from now, I expect to see new people in Astros uniforms. What do you think about their changes in the future of the Franchise? |

| Re: Clemens signs with Houston I wish he would just pitch a few seasons for free as a kind gesture of giving back to his community. $20+ M is a lot for a pitcher who didn't win the Cy Young Award. |
