Could the steroid saga result in Miguel Tejada being kicked out of the country? Possibly.

According to the Houston Chronicle, "Tejada's immigration status could be in peril in light of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's decision to ask the Department of Justice to investigate whether the new Astros shortstop lied to federal investigators in 2005. Tejada, a native of the Dominican Republic, is a legal U.S. resident with a green card. Yet there are some instances in which he could be denied entry back into the country just by admitting he committed a crime for which he is being investigated."

It's possible but I don't think the Government would do that to the guy. If they find after an investigation that he did lie to federal agents, will they seek prosecution? If so, and they get an actual conviction, let the man serve his time and that's it.

Well, hell, we went ahead and against better judgement made a "Federal case" out of this...anyone catch jsut how much our political leaders really know about the game?...most of them know jack about baseball...but hey, we want them in the thick of it...please...can we possibly find a better use for my tax money?

This is what Congress does. They have tons of little committees that deal with what most would consider "minor" or "unimportant" issues.
