| Astros lose on wild pitches What a crazy finish to last night's Houston Astros - Florida Marlins game. With two out, Astros pitcher Stephen Randolph intentionally walked Miguel Cabrera. He then threw a wild pitch that allowed Cabrera to take second, and threw a second one just a couple of pitches later that went into the dugout and allowed Cabrera to score. Umpires ruled that Eric Munson had touched the ball before it went into the dugout, which meant that the baserunner would advance two bases.
As Randoph told reporters after the game, "Never in my life, in all my years playing baseball, have I seen a game end like that." |
