The Houston Astros traded RP Dan Wheeler to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for infielder Ty Wigginton.

*Both guys are former Mets

Wheeler is 1-4 with a 5.07 ERA and 11 saves in 45 appearances for the Astros this season. Wigginton is batting .275 with 16 HR and 49 RBI for the Rays this year.

How much of a waste for Tampa is this. Didn't they already cut this guy from their team.

As a result of bringing in another 3rd Baseman, Ensberg has been DFA. Looks like a Wigginton/ Lamb platoon, unless Lamb is traded to bring in a centerfielder.
