Craig Biggio announces retirement

Long time Astros 2B Craig Biggio has announced that he will retire at season's end. Biggio has played 21 years with the Astros. Biggio has said "It will be hard not lace up the cleats each day. He also said he will take a couple away from the game the pursue coaching opportunities.

For some reason, I think he would make a great coach. Could the rumor I heard about him getting a managers job be true?

If he does become a manager it wont be right away he does want to enjoy retirement.

I'd hire him...of course I think he'll be a manager in the minors before he reaches the big leagues.

He's a guy who has played C, CF and 2B and all good quality-wise. He knows the game and from all accounts, he's a great person.
