Houston P Roy Oswalt

According to the Associated Press, "Going into the weekend, Roy Oswalt's 106 victories since 2001 were the most of any pitcher in the majors and one better than Randy Johnson's 105." So where would you rank him among the decade's best pitchers? See, I've always thought he was good, but to find out that he's the winningest pitcher of the past six years? That's a surprise.

Re: Houston P Roy Oswalt

I have considered him one of the best the last couple years. He is constantly in the cy young debate. He has been one of the leaders on the Astros great 2nd half runs to get into the post season. When he is on, he is almost unhttable.

Re: Houston P Roy Oswalt

Well, completely different kind of story about Oswalt today. According to the Associated Press, "Astros ace Roy Oswalt will miss his scheduled start Wednesday against the Dodgers because of soreness in his upper chest that developed Friday night in Pittsburgh... Oswalt threw his usual between-starts bullpen session Sunday, but still felt some discomfort in cartilage located between his sternum and rib cage. He is scheduled to start again July 31 in Atlanta, meaning he would go 11 days between starts."
