| Whats What in Hockey 10/20 - 10/26 First full week of Hockey is now in the books guys! I am seeing a lot of things that look crazy! People and teams that are doing better than I would have thought, teams and people doing crappier than I picked...but hey the season is still young! So far I haven't been doing so hot with my daily picks. Total before this weeks game: 12/27 44% 10/13: 5/7 10/14: 4/5 10/15: 2/5 10/16: 4/7 10/17: 2/7 (OUCH) 10/18: 9/13 10/19: 1/2 Total from the past week: 27/46 about 58.6% this week! Overall: 39/73 53.4% so far. Not to bad if I do say so myself! Who's still holding their division, and who's fighting to gain it back? Let's look at the standings! NHL - Standings - Yahoo! Sports Eastern Atlantic - NY Rangers with 2 losses 6-1-1 and 13 points Northeast - Buffalo and Montreal both 4-0 both have 9 points so far. Southeast- Washington and Carolina both 3-1 with 7 points Western Central - St Louis sitting at 4-1 with 8 points (Det not to far behind at 3-1-1 with 7 points) Northwest- Minnesota and Edmonton both 4-0 with 9 points Pacific- San Jose at 5-1 with 10 points Not to much change. Injuries to Goalies and defense men are always hard. Offensive players, while they are fast skaters, they just don't hit hard enough to muscle players off the puck when need be. Offensive men are hard to lose on a team who's best defense is a good offense, and those teams would be Sharks Wild and Red Wings. Canes are kinda hurt right now too. Now for the winning (or losing picks 10/20: Give me...Rangers by 4, Boston by 2, Montreal by 3, LA by 1. 10/21: I'll take...Buffalo by 3, Toronto by 2, Vancouver by 2, Atlanta by 1, Washington by 3. 10/22: Hmm...NJ by 2, Ottawa by 1, San Jose by 3, St. Louis by 2, Edmonton by 3. 10/23: Hard picks this day...Boston by 2, Dallas by 1, Carolina by 3, Nashville by 4, Buffalo by 2, Edmonton by 4, Washington by 2. 10/24: Great day for Hockey...NJ by 2, Ottawa by 2, Rangers by 4, Detroit by 3, SJ by 3, St. Louis by 4 10/25: Another hmm day...NJ by 2, Atlanta by 2, Ottawa by 3, Montreal by 2, Carolina by 1, Rangers by 4, SJ by 3, LA by 2 (upset), Minnesota by 3, Washington by 2, St. Louis by 2, Detroit by 4, Buffalo by 2, Edmonton by 2, Calgary by 3. 10/26: No games!
