It's good to hear you speak so highly of him. Suppose it's the frustrated fan in me, that wanted him to be amazing and was let down. The concussions he got, especially the Stevens one, I felt for him. Just wish somehow, now, with support in TO, that he could make it happen again.

I wonder why it is I have always had an appreciation for the Flyers, because I do.

Tell me about it. I was at that Conference Finals Game 7 against the Devils in 2000. It was the year they led the series 3-1, and then somehow let the Devils back into it. Lindros had been out with a head injury, and the Flyers were clicking without him. It has since come out that the rest of the team was very much opposed to his return. Anyway, he returned for Game 7 and took a hit by Stevens at center ice a few minutes in. After he was carried off the ice, the Flyers looked invisible, and the game was lost.

I've been to hundreds of Flyers games, and that is the only game I walked out of in tears. A guy stopped me in the concourse and said, "Don't look so sad, sweetheart - it's not like it's their last chance."

Meanwhile, the Devils went on to win the Cup that year again and I have very little doubt that had the Flyers been able to finish them off in the Finals, I'd have gotten to see a Cup Parade in Philly.

Six years later, I'm still waiting....
