Canada vs Russia in finals

Canada just defeated Sweden 5-4 - it was close and a good game.
Russia beat Finland 4-0.
So it's Canada vs. Russia Sunday at 1:00.
we can beat 'em. But it'll be good.
Finland will play Sweden for 3rd place tomorrow at 3:00 pm. That should be a good game - i predict, Sweden will win.

Re: Canada vs Russia in finals

so much for what i know - 4-0 for Finland and they capture the bronze.
something happened to Lundqvist because Stefan Liv was in net and his back- up was Tellqvist.

Re: Canada vs Russia in finals

What a game. Both goalies - Ward and Nabokov - were great.
At the end of the three periods, it was 4-4.
Goals scored by Canada's Burns X2, heatley - Dany Heatley set a modern-day Canadian record with his 12th goal of the tournament beating Lindros' from way back in '93 - and Kunitz and Russia's Semin X2, Tereshchenko and Kovalchuk.
Into OT, I'm nervous - really I've started to become nervous during the 3rd when Russia started looking like the better team.
Kovalchuk scores the winning goal at 2:42 into OT and Russia takes the gold.
The host country fails to take the gold - this was our first time as the host country too. We must be happy with the silver.
Heatley wins the top forward and the tournament MVP, though.
