Have you forgiven the NHL yet?

Just curious as to how many people out there have "forgiven" the NHL for cancelling an entire season 3 years ago. Because it seems like I'm the only one I know who seems to follow the NHL real closely. Alot of friends I used to have who used to be big hockey fans have just lost interest in it ever since the lockout. I can't really say I blame them either, as a hockey fan, I was pretty pissed off at the NHL for making the fans suffer an entire season without hockey, but I've moved on from that now, and I still watch it as much if not even more then I did before the lockout, but that just doesn't seem to be the case with alot of people I know.

I moved on as soon as they started playing. If you enjoy a sport, you enjoy it.

Eveyone has to make their own stand, but I just don't see much sense in deprivning myself one of my sports!

There is so much garbage on TV these days, I'd rather watch any sport over most of the drivel that TV offers us!

Re: Have you forgiven the NHL yet?

Great question. It's funny, but I held less of a grudge against the NHL for cancelling their season than I did Major League Baseball. I like both games very much, so that's not a factor. I think, being a Penguins fan, it really hit home to me how out-of-whack things had gotten financially, so it seemed more justified than work stoppages in other sports. But hold a grudge? Nope, can't say as I do.

I'm the same - I used to watch a lot more baseball and that strike ended my love for it.
but hockey? yeah, I'm with Phils - once they started playing I was there - actually, I think I was in withdrawal all year, so them getting back on the ice was like christmas in october.

I think they were dumb to do it...an entire season...the players got it handed to them...I think what is unforgiveable is the players that retired during that span, never got a final tour...

Re: Have you forgiven the NHL yet?

With me it's not about forgiveness it's just about a lack of interest from the country I live in or at least this part of it. An almost apathetic attitude from the media and even the fans who are supposed to be going to their cities represantive team that just seemed to rub off on me.
