as it says on nhl.com, the Jack Adams trophy goes to "the NHL coach adjudged to have contributed the most to his team's success".
so it's a funny call. Sure the Red Wings are doing great but they always do great - is that due to coach Babcock? should he be in the running?
I heard some announcers talking up Bruce Boudreau, who is the head coach of the Caps.
It usually goes to the fighting team, the team who had to scrap their way to show they matter, to have come along way from bad to great - and washington is a good representative of that.
Last year it went to the Canucks' coach Alain Vigneault and I agreed wholeheartedly. Yeah Buffalo was great and Ruff is an amazing coach but Vancouver showed vast improvement over previous seasons.
These announcers also brought up the Wild's Lemaire and of course Gretzky, as Phoenix is much better that they were.
But my vote goes to Carbonneau - the Habs are a force this season and it's due to carbonneau and Muller.

I think the choices are these.

Buffalo-Lindy Ruff made this team run for the playoffs, and how Micheal Funk and the rookies are playing means he did his part. Miller also is speeding up his game. Anyone notice?

Phoenix-Wayne Gretzky has gotten Phoenix OFFENSE AND GOALTENDING!!!

Montreal-I think if you compare them from this year and last year, you will see why I put them here.

Lindy won't get nominated - Buffalo last year compared to this year? I don't see it.
Boudreau i think is a favourite in the sports media's eyes.

Theres a big chance he will. You forget last year we had Zuburus, Drury, Briere, and for half the year Biron and Conklin. If we are near a playoff spot, he has a chance.

Also, the caps are doing better, but if they don't get a playoff spot he might get a worse chance.
