goalie Denis gets call to play in quarter final

Canada plays Slovakia, which includes Hossa, former sens draft pick Rastislav Pavlikovsky and Blackhawk Milan Bartovic.
Denis was on the 2004 gold winning team but he never played.
Americans meet Sweden in the quarters (US beat Czechs yesterday, 3-1).
Denis was backup to Roy on the Avalanche in 1999/2000. Saya he learned alot by watching. I guess that's all you could do if you backed up Roy: watch.

Wow...how did I miss a whole Denis write up...come on ...he is more than a back up to Roy...he is...a BLUE JACKET...that alone should ring with pride!

Re: goalie Denis gets call to play in quarter final

He's definitely more than a backup now, and he's centre stage now - well, in latvia, anyway.
On a Roy tangent, up here in Oh canada is something going on called the Memorial Cup, which is the rising hockey star finals in this country, the best of the OHL, the QMJHL, WHL and the CHL. It's now down to four teams: the peterborough Petes, Quebec Remparts, moncton Wildcats and vancouver Giants.
So Roy is the coach of the Remparts. other notable is Ted Nolan, who is coahcing Moncton - I wanted Leafs to look at him for head coach this year. Roy's behind the bench now, and doing great.
Me, i'm pushing for the Petes. Ontario allegiance.

Cool Re: goalie Denis gets call to play in quarter final

I had Denis on my hockey fantasy team a couple of years ago. He's a quality goaltender.
