Playoffs Second Day-notes

Meanest matchup: Philly vs. Buffalo. Although you can usually assume that when Philly's involved. But Buffalo too, it's a fight out there. the major hit by Campbell on Umberger was clean but man, it hurt me and I was hundreds of mile north of the HSBC arena. Apparently, Umberger is good to go. Some fighting, some temperamental guys, no dirty stuff. Even though Sabres won, Esche was great. 58 shots on goal for Buffalo. Overtime win, briere's the hero.

Not so thrilling game: montreal won hands down vs. carolina last night. But it is exciting because Montreal looks pretty amazing out there - all this talk about Huet being inexperienced. he seemed not to suffer. Also talk about, should the Canes put Gerber in net next game? Give Ward a change. I think the worst thing they could do is pull gerber right now. One more game, let him come back.

I'm stunned by dallas's loss, and the Devils virtually stripped the Rangers naked. My big question? What's up with Lundqvist? And bigger question? What's wrong with Jagr? Did you see him skate off, walk off with his upper body bent right over, his shoulder hanging?
Games today: Detroit and Edmonton, Nashville & San Jose at 1, Ott vs. Tampa at 6 and Calgary vs Anaheim at 9.

I hope Jagr is alright. If the Rangers lose him, then there goes their chances of bringing the Stanley Cup back to Madison Square Garden.

Re: Playoffs Second Day-notes

OTTAWA (AP) -- Martin St. Louis kept the defending Stanley Cup champions out of an 0-2 hole to start the playoffs. St. Louis scored his second goal of the game 6:19 into the third, and the Tampa Bay Lightning battled back twice for a 4-3 win over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday night, evening the Eastern Conference series at 1-1.

Little St. Louis comes up big for Tampa Bay...did the Senators peak too early this year?...do they have enough in the tank? Ipersonally like Spezza, but the Senators as a whole I can do without...maybe I'll skip on over to Tampa and catch a game...long ago, they use to play a few games in Orlando...so its kinda like the Home Team.

I think the Lightning have alwaya been an exciting team. Lacavalier is a n arrogant kid, but he's good, so he's fun to watch, and St Louis is so fast and tricky, and Richards is hard hitting and scores. What about Grahame? he's doing great so far -can he cut it?
