But Hockey Canada has announced that there will be 8 games played in Aug and Sept to "commemorate the 35th anniversary of the original event".
First 4 played in Russia and next 4 in canada.
1972 revisited, except it won't be so evil. oh well - it's worth commemorating. This is canada's "where were you when" event.

Who the heck is in hockey shape in Aug and Sept?...

How about if they find all the players from the old series and make them play again?...now that would be interesting...an old timers game of sort...

And while some grade school kids (those living in Canada) got a TV rolled into their classroom to catch the last game of the series...others 9those living in florida) had to read about the series in Sports Illustrated...not the same...

I'd love to see an old timers - except they move pretty slow.
It's early conditioning for the kids in Aug/Sept. It'll be the Under-20s playing.

Oh, horse of a different color...still an old timers game would be fun...maybe reduce the ice rink by 20 feet and extend the nets by six inches on each side...let them replay the series...
