NHL Playoff Race

As it stands now, there are several locks for the playoffs in the east, with several teams vying for the final one or two spots. In the west, there are basically three guarantees in Detroit, Dallas, and Nashville. Other than that, the other 5 spots are up for grabs. Any thoughts?

hello, calgary.
of course, if edmonton and vancouver got in as well, it would be very nice. vancouver's making it tough for themselves, though.

Re: NHL Playoff Race

Colorado is looking good too. After looking at their schedule it seems that the only team that they are gonna have to worry about is Calgary. The rest are teams that won't make the playoffs. Plus Colorado has the experience. But I agree, Calgary is also a lock.

Re: NHL Playoff Race

It's not that I think Calgary won't be in the playoffs. It's just that going into yesterday there were 8 teams within 6 points of each other for the final five positions. It's safe to say Detroit, Dallas, and Nashville will probably be seated among the top 3, and probably in that order. From there on, its anyone's guess.
