| Re: Possible Re-location sites for NHL teams Same thing happened in Winnipeg. Izzy Asper had a deal to buy the team as well as build a new arena with the help from the three levels of government but it feel through due to Barry Shenkarow (owner) wanting more money. So the team was sold in 1995 to Steven Gluckstern and Richard Burke who moved the team to Phoenix. |
