Re: Trade deadline so far so biggest shock so far for me was Biron going to Philly, then leighton gets picked up by the Habs. Wonder what both teams have planned. Habs like this young guy that's gcome up to back up Aebischer, but is Aebischer the let down? And Bertuzzi - Florida fans muct be livid - they give up Luongo for Bertuzzi, chances are in an hour he'll be somewhere else (someone will pick him up, I believe) and they are left high and dry. WORST trade of the summer. With twenty twenty hindsight, that is. best trade so far? Philly gets Biron. Yeah - some real goaltending for the ailing team.

Re: Trade deadline so far I was surprised that Kevin Lowe had the balls to trade Ryan Smyth. I personally don't think Smyth is worth 6 mill if you are the oilers working with a 39ish million dollar salary cap so I wouldn't have signed him either. Didn't get a lot in return either. But neither did the Panthers for Bertuzzi.

Re: Trade deadline so far I have to disagree. I think Ryan Smyth is the hardest working hockey player around. They are going to miss him in Edmonton big time. messier's ceremony was last night and I'm sure it was darkened with the shadow that Smyth is gone. Bertuzzi has only played 7 games this year and has a chronic back injury, so the Panthers were lucky that anybody took Bertuzzi off of their hands.
