| Re: Gold medal game at 1:30 Canadian goalie Carey price leads the tournament with a .967 save percentage. he gave up 5 goals in five games but had his GA go down to 0.97 after he stopped all of the American shots (12) in OT in the semifinal. Russian goalie Semen Varlamov was part of the sliver medal winner last year and was first round pick for in this year's NHL draft, 23rd overall for the caps. Russian stars? Alexei Cherepanov tied for tournament scoring lead with 5 goals and 3 assists in 5 games. Teammate Bumagin has 8 points, incl 2 goals and 6 assists. canadian star? Jonathon toews. had 3 goals in the SO win vs the US. |

| Re: Gold medal game at 1:30 Canada wins it, big emotional win, 4-2. Close start, then 3 goals in 2 minutes and 27 seconds for the canadians. Three years in a row. Price is the Tournament MVP. Erik Johnson is the top defenceman, and Alexy Cherepanov is the top forward. USA wins the bronze over Sweden, 2-1. All star team as selected by the media: Price in net. Johnson, USA and krist letang, canada, on defence. cherepanov, Russia, Jonathon toews, canada, and Patrick Kane, USA, as forwards. |

| Re: Gold medal game at 1:30 Toews was freaking insane in the semi-final shootout. He played a great overall tournament. He showed a lot of potential. I'm actually very surprised how the US finished. I didn't expect that, but I should've expected this with Johnson on the team. Canada and Russia will always dominate hockey, though.
