| what about that hit on Cole? Erik Cole is out for 6-8 weeks with a compression fracture in a vertebra in his neck, cause he was slammed headfirst into the boards by a Penguin named Orpik. great season for Cole and the Canes, and now he's in a hospital bed. Um... would I be betraying my disinterest in the NHL right now if I admitted that I've never heard of this guy Orpik? Seriously, though, its a shame about the dirty hit. If there's one thing in hockey I hate, its a cheap shot, whether its your guys or my guys doing it. Suspend him for as long as Cole's out, that's what I say. |

| Re: what about that hit on Cole? This is a big blow for Carolina. Cole is young and good. It'll be interesting to see how much his injury affects the team. Will anyone be able to fill his shoes? Is there anything Carolina can do before the trade deadline? |
