| Swedes back late, others will take longer None of the Swedes will make it to their first game tonight. Apparently, this is not the way it was supposed to work out. Detroit, Vancouver, Toronto (maybe). Apparently too much celebration and too much travel make for a very tired hockey player. Detroit will seem to suffer the most - a quote from Quinn says it doesn't matter so much to Toronto (who were 3-13-2 since Jan 10) - ouch.
Speaking of ouch - the ouch list from the Olympics includes Elias (bruised ribs, should be back tomorrow), Gagne (knee, should miss a game or two), Ohlund (fractured rib, hurt shoulder, out 7-10 days), Hasek (groin, no time given yet-sounds serious), Salo (shoulder, prognosis uncertain), Jagr (the groin thing, did you see the way he was pulling at himself that game he left?, but no one knows if he's really hurt) and Kubina (elbow to the face, not sure when he'll come back). |
