How bout those Finns?

Wow. Nobody is surprised they have been competitive, but did anything predict this sheer dominance? They are 7-0 and have outscored their opponents 27-5 with 5 shutouts in 7 games. Sweden will hardly be a pushover with Sedin, Forsberg, Zetterburg, Alfredsson and Lundqvuist in net, but damn..you really have to raise your hats for those fantastic Finns.

This is hardly the gold medal match anyone expected, but I like it. Maybe its my Swedish heritage and all the Finns I went to college with, but I think it will be a great game. These are teams loaded with top NHL talent who can be very entertaining to watch, especially because they know how to take advantage of the Olympic ice sheet.

You forgot to mention a guy named Sundin.
And yeah the Finns have been dominant throughout. They were saying today before the game, that Finland was going to have a real challenge from Russia. then the Russians didn't show. Two boring games to get into the medal playoffs - the weekend games better be nail-biters.
And I'm totally going for Sweden. Ever since the days of Inge Hammarstrom and Borje Salming, I've been a sucker for the Swedes.

It's great that Lundqvist will be playing in the Gold Medal game, just like the coming out party most expected...only involving some gold
