Dallas, buffalo and the Wild. Anyone see those coming?

I'm not shocked about Buffalo because they made the semis last year. But it's way too early too make any judgement. Some teams haven't even played a home game yet (like the Bruins).

Yeah. Still, something to be said for momentum. I didn't see Dallas up there. Surprised most about that.

To me, Minnesota is definitely the biggest surprise. NEVER saw that one coming.

thing is, eventually the young teams are going to have to start getting better, because they get these great picks. Article in today's star says The jackets are feeling the pressure, because the Wild are looking so good - I know it's a long way off to the playoffs but they are comparing them to other young teams like the Thrashers (who haven't yet but also look good this year) and the Predators. Maybe it took Nashville 6 years to get into the playoffs but now they are contenders.
The Wild got in after just 3 years.
