Jeff Gordon Earns 1st Pole of the season
Jeff Gordon won his first pole position of the season Friday with a qualifying lap of 191.117 mph at Texas Motor Speedway, the site of his only victory of the season in April. Points leader Jimmie Johnson will start 12th.
