| Dale's Decision Hendrick Motorsports is expected to wait until at least the end of the month to decide on next year's crew chief for Dale Earnhardt Jr. With two top-10 finishes in 19 races under interim crew chief Lance McGrew, Earnhardt has dropped three spots in the standings to 22nd (teammates Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon occupy the top three spots in the standings). Before a 38th at Lowe's Motor Speedway (his third finish outside the top 30 in the last five races), Earnhardt said he was "at the end of my rope." Team owner Rick Hendrick met with the team before Saturday's race and "told them this can't last. What Dale was saying was sometimes people doubt his commitment, and it's eating him up. But we're going to get it." |

| Re: Dale's Decision I have no doubt whatsoever that Junior is a race car driver, and a good one at that! The only thing he can do right now, in my opinion is get down on his knees and beg Tony Eury Senior to come back to cup. Even though he knows nothing about the current CoT, I think Eury Sr. could adapt quickly! People need to stop comparing him to his father, nobody ever said he was his father! He wants to race just like every single one of the other 42 drivers on the track right now. Hell Aj Allmendinger and Reed sorenson even went without pay for a few races just to keep their cars on the track! Thats another thread though!
