| Favre, Packers struggle Green Bay QB Brett Favre and his Packers struggled in their first preseason game, a 17-3 loss to the Chargers on Saturday. Favre, 36, was just 5-for-10 for 66 yards and was sacked twice in four series. Afterwards, the QB told reporters, "We've got a long way to go... We weren't very good." So what needs to be done for Favre and Green Bay to get better?

| Re: Favre, Packers struggle Brett Favre needs to go back in time to when he was a young and talented quarterback with all the potential in the world. The Packers need to find a better team for this season and also should get back all the big stars they let go over the years. In other words, there is no realistic way the Packers can do well this season with their roster right now. I'll continue to be optomistic about next year, though. |

| Re: Favre, Packers struggle Anybody want to start a "fire Mike McCarthy" website? I don't think he's the answer. Although San Francisco has no defense, Norv Turner is doing what Mike McCarthy couldn't do. Get the offense some momentum. While they are a couple of years from the playoffs, SF looks like they are on the path to some great things. McCarthy needs to go back to coaching quarterbacks. If Jeff Fisher becomes available, the Packers should go hard after him. |
