Yea and Tampa already had a Pro Bowl QB in Garcia, no need for trading big for Farve. Thats cool for the Jets though, it makes them way better now, maybe they can fight for the division if their lucky.

Yay! I'm happy... The Jets have an excellent pick-up, but I think Favre should have taken the 25 million and stayed at home though.

This was a very stupid move by the Packers. They basically threw away the best quarterback that ever lived. Brett can never be replaced and Aaron Rodgers. Aaron will NEVER be as good as Brett. I think this will upset most Packer fans, including me. And i wont be suprised if Aaron Rodgers gets booed when he takes the field at Lambeau. I'll always be a Packers fan, but Packers football will NEVER be the same. :'(

I know right? How many people get offered 25 million bucks to stay home and sit on the couch. I said from the beginning out of the whole NFL the New York Jets would make the most sense. Now the Jets take some of the flash away from the Super Bowl Champs cross town.

Hey, even Bart Starr was eventually replaced, and some people tend to forget it, but Don Majkowski was a bit of a big deal before he got hurt and Favre took over. All I'm saying is, never say never, and give Aaron Rogers a fair shake here. He might just surprise all of us.

Perhaps there are clauses in his contract preventing that? I don't know just supposing. I think they will keep him because the chances of them grabbing a wild card spot which will lead Mangini to keep his job have just gone up 75%!! Say, who do you think is gonna start for the Jet now? I guess you have to decide if you are a Packer fan or basically a Brett Favre fan. It is hard to deal with the change. After all, Brett Favre was the face of Packer football for a long time.
It happened in Dallas after Troy Aikman left, in Denver after John Elway left, and after Dan Marino left Miami.
But I think the Packers have a decent quarterback in Rodgers, something the other teams werent fortunate enough to have in waiting. Dont give up on the guy yet. It took Favre a while to get his act together after he came into the league. And Rodgers has some weapons around him as well as a good defense. Most of the team is young and they can grow up together.

According to NFL Network, if the Jets trade him to the Vikings, they forfeit three first-round picks to Green Bay!
