Predictions On Brett Favre

So what do you think will happen to Brett Favre now that he has been reinstated.

Will he get traded? To what team?
Will he start?
Will he be a back-up?
Will he even stay with the Packers?
Any other predictions?

What do you think will happen?

Re: Predictions On Brett Favre

Hmm... good question. Okay, best guess. He goes through training camp as the backup, gets frustrated and re-retires.

Re: Predictions On Brett Favre

Its a darn good bet that if he goes through camp as the back up and isnt allowed to compete for the starting job, he will get frustrated. Maybe thats what the Packers want. If he "retires" again then that will save them that 12 million hit against the salary cap.
Actually, I dont think the sports world can handle Brett retiring again. Oh man, what happens next year? Are we going to go through this again????
Actually I think the Packers will cave one way or the other. Either they give in and let him play, or they give in and let him go wherever he wants and hope for the best.
Actually the last might be the best. Then one of their rivals will get lucky and have to deal with another Brett Favre retirement.

Re: Predictions On Brett Favre

I think my guess is that with the pressure of the fans and the pressure of him talking to the press he may eventually get a starting job somewhere. If not with the packers then maybe some other team.

It's not going to be the Packers. Just cannot see that happening at all.

Well, they won't trade him to a division rival, and they're not gonna cut him, so what are they supposed to do with him?

Re: Predictions On Brett Favre

I think they'll find some team that wants him and make a trade, if he reports to camp the Packers will have a civil war on their hands. They should have traded him already...Thompson is being very foolish and playing with fire. Meanwhile runningback Ryan Grant got a contract for 4 years which is very important to the Pack yet boring compared to the Drama Queen Brett disaster.

Exactly so there could be a good chance he stays there.

Well I don't know if the Green Bay fans will like that.

I think they'll trade him. They don't need controversy like this following them all year. They can deal him for cash or future players and come out of this winners.

I'm starting to think maybe Rodgers will be the one who winds up getting traded, at his own request. He's got to be about sick of all this, especially since that vote of confidence all but disappeared and turned into an "open competition" that's sure to result in Favre starting.

You could be right but I think in the long run they'd be better off without him. Time will tell.
