| Ryan Grant seeking 6 years, $40 million Packers RB Ryan Grant is seeking a six year, $40 million contract. The Packers obviously feel those terms are unreasonable for a running back with seven career starts and very little leverage in contract talks. Although both sides agree that the key to any deal is how Grant performs in 2008 and 2009, they differ on compensation. With Brandon Jackson ready to step in, Grant is likely going to have to settle soon. JS Online: Grant seeking $40 million |

| Re: Ryan Grant seeking 6 years, $40 million I would have given him the contract, but at his same base salary loaded with incentives to reach the pay he wants. if he repeats his season last year, he makes a fortune. If not, he stays the same. i wonder why all contracts aren't made this way.

| Re: Ryan Grant seeking 6 years, $40 million Wait a second, he just got a 4 year deal according to Yahoo Fantasy Sports (I have him). He's gonna hold out again after just getting a contract? Not even the lowest of the low, Bonds, Clemens, Favre, etc. would do that! I must have misread this...I hope. Nothing surprises me these days with players holding their teams hostage. |
