| Packers 2007 season not so profitable The Packers had a great season last year, going 13-3. But it wasnt such a blockbuster financially as you might except, reports Fox 11 Green Bay.
Their revenue was $241 million up 10% from last year. But because of rise in player costs profit was down 37% to about $21.4 million.
Part of the reason was because of the bonuses due to veterans, but it is mostly due to a trend in the NFL for teams to pay out more for players with out seeing more revenue in return. This is why owners opted out of the collective bargaining agreement. They hope to get a new deal and a bigger share of the pie going to the league and players.
