| Ryan Grant Wants More Money, Has No Leverage ![]() During the 2007 NFL season, Ryan Grant went from an anonymous running back just hoping to make a roster to one of the biggest reasons the Packers got to the NFC Championship. Unfortunately for Grant, he's still paid like an anonymous running back just hoping to make a roster. So Grant and his agent are angling for a long-term deal, with his agent saying, "The process has started. Are we getting anywhere? Probably a better question at the end of the week." As an exclusive-rights free agent with only one year of accrued NFL experience, the Packers owe him nothing more than the $370,000 league minimum salary. If he doesn't agree to that and the Packers won't give him more, his only option is not to play at all. Green Bay Packers' Ryan Grant Wants More Money, Has No Leverage - FanHouse - AOL Sports Blog |

| Re: Ryan Grant Wants More Money, Has No Leverage Is there anyone who thinks Green Bay shouldn't do what they need to do to lock this kid up long-term? I mean... I guess it was just one year, and anything could happen. But he played like an elite back, and I would think you'd want to make sure you kept him around for a few more years.

| Re: Ryan Grant Wants More Money, Has No Leverage Here is the thing people aren't realizing with this, Grant is being paid league minimum, is isn't like he is being paid like Julius Jones and wants to be paid like LT, there is a big difference between a race and big money for Grant.
