Grant seeking big deal

With only one year of playing experience, its unusual for a player to have much leverage.
Ryan Grant, running back of the Green Bay Packers, is not willing to settle for a minimum salary.
Training camp holdout is a possibility but both sides are hopeful a deal will be done.
Scout.com: Grant seeking a big deal

This is an easy one. He most certainly has a better deal coming, dont you think?

Re: Grant seeking big deal

Yeah, give the man a new deal. Trying to force a starting tailback to play for league minimum is a downright insult.

It would cost them more and it would be a risk...that's not wise.

Great idea. It doesn't need to be league minimum, but they can probably lock him up for a few years cheaper than waiting to see if he can repeat theyear he had. I think he is the real thing.

He wants a new deal, he'd like it to be big. He's being paid league minimum.

Come on now... he's their starting tailback. Certainly you believe he deserves more than league minimum, right?

I'm not sure but think Seahawker is kidding.
Maybe he wishes Grant was on the Seahawks.

Re: Grant seeking big deal

you gotta give this guy more money, packers last year minus ryan grant had a joke of a running game, next year packers minus(farve plus grant) = joke of a team. The only prob is if he is looking for top 10 rb money then you cant sign him
