| It’s about 200 miles from Chicago to Green Bay, Wis. A flight on a jet between the two Midwestern cities takes less than an hour. Barely time for pretzels and Sierra Mist. But it was on one of those short hops last month that Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre had an epiphany. Late in the flight, he looked around at his teammates and realized that his young Packers were sprouting peach fuzz on their faces.
Figurative peach fuzz, that is. The Packers, Favre noticed, were still a collection of youngsters in terms of age as their airplane touched down that day, but not in terms of on-field maturity.
And he felt warmth that has seldom visited iced-over Green Bay in late December in recent years.
