Revenge not on Grant's mind

Another player might spend the week building it up in his mind as the ultimate way to say "I told you so," a chance to stick it to the team that traded him on the big stage. But it doesn't seem to be that way for Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant as he prepares to face the New York Giants in Sunday's NFC Championship game at Lambeau Field.
A week before the start of this season, New York dealt Grant to Green Bay for a sixth-round draft pick. What a steal for the Packers!
While Grant admits he might be "a little bit" more fired up to play his former team, the trade worked out so well for him, how could he hold a grudge?

Re: Revenge not on Grant's mind

This kid has a good head on his shoulders. He seems down to earth and realizes his new found opportunity.

Hopefully he fails on Sunday, but after that, he can run on everyone else like he did with Seattle

That is a steal...the kid was argueably the best runner in the 2nd half of the season.

Re: Revenge not on Grant's mind

This begs the question - how did the Giants think so little of him to make that deal? Obviously the kid has talent. How did they not see that in New York?

According to Empire in another thread, they already had 4 RBs, which is too many. Maybe Grant just never got a chance to shine. Maybe New York just wasnt the place for him.

Re: Revenge not on Grant's mind

It was the numbers game in NY. They had Brandon Jacobs, Reuben Droughns, Derrick Ward, Ahmad Bradshaw and Ryan Grant on the squad. They couldn't fit five backs on the team so they dealt him.
