| Packers win sets up showdown in Big D The Green Bay Packers have to feel pretty good about the state of their team heading into a showdown with the Dallas Cowboys next Thursday. The win was the Packers' sixth in a row and the 14th in their last 15 games dating to the final four games of last season. More importantly, it improved their 2007 record to 10-1, which ties them with Dallas for best record in the NFC with five weeks left in the season. The NFC's top two teams will meet at Texas Stadium next Thursday. Though that game won't necessarily prove which team is better, it will give one of them a huge edge in the race for home-field advantage in the playoffs. Dallas undoubtedly wants nothing to do with traveling to Lambeau Field for the NFC championship game in late January, when the dead of winter could bring bitterly cold playing conditions. The Packers all but clinched the NFC North with this win, taking a four-game lead over the second-place Lions (6-5) with five games to play. They'll go into next week's game with some concerns about a defense that's been a little shaky over the last six quarters. But the Packers will be riding an offensive high that's seen them top the 30-point mark in their last four games with a diverse passing game and a 38-year-old quarterback who's having one of his best seasons PackersNews.com - Packers chew up Lions, 37-26, to set up showdown in Big D
